Getting to Know Each Other

You're always welcome at Oxbow Lake Baptist Church. We know that meeting someone for the first time and going to a new church can feel unfamiliar, but we want to help make your first experience at Oxbow a great one!

Service Times

We meet for services twice on Sundays and once on Wednesday evenings aside from special events and revivals. Our small groups also meet weekly on Sunday morning for Sunday School. Here are our normal service times:

Sundays at 10:00 am (Sunday School), 11:00 am, and 6:00 pm. Nursery for ages 0–3 is available for all services including Sunday School.

Wednesdays at 7:00 pm

Adults meet in the main auditorium.

On Wednesdays, Oxbow Kids (4-11) meet in the church's lower level for a children’s program designed for their level. Teens (12-18) meet in the teen class.

What can I expect?

What Safety Precautions is Oxbow Taking?

You are welcome to wear a face mask, but it is not required. If you or a family member doesn't feel well, or if you're just not ready to attend a service in person, we encourage you to watch the live stream.

How Long is the Service?

In total, a morning service is about one hour in length and an evening service is about the same. Services begin with the choir opener, then a hymn and prayer. We encourage you to join our congregational singing. Hymn lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along or use our hymnals.

We also have live special music before the preaching of God’s word. After the messages, we pray and invite you to pray with us for a time of invitation in your seat or at the front of the church, what we call the "altar." If you would like for us to pray with you or have questions about us, ask to speak with a pastor.

What are the Services Like?

We aim for our services to be traditional, worshipful, and ultimately pleasing to God. Our goal is to be Biblical in everything we do. We want you to experience Christ for who He is and obey His will for your life.

What About My Kids?

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week as they learn more about the Saviour.

The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our programs the first time you visit. We’ll need to get some contact information from you before the children join the service.

Our children’s ministry is available for nursery age to 12 years old.
